About the role

As a mechanic, you will become part of the maintenance department and work with both preventive and corrective maintenance in the production environment. You are responsible for keeping machines and equipment in good condition. The work is varied and includes both planned maintenance interventions and urgent repairs.

Examples of tasks:

• Preventive maintenance according to maintenance plans
• Troubleshooting and repair of production equipment
• Machine and building maintenance
• Workshop work with welding, turning, milling, and other workshop equipment
• Participation in improvement and development work within maintenance

In the long term, the role may involve spare parts management, warehousing, and purchasing.

Your profile

We are looking for you who are an independent and solution-oriented mechanic with a genuine technical interest. You thrive on taking initiative and have the ability to work both independently and together with others. As a person, you are curious, engaged, and have a natural drive to learn new things. You have a structured approach to work and can see connections in the operations from a larger perspective.

To be considered for the position, we see that you have experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably from the manufacturing industry. You have good workshop skills and experience in mechanical work. Furthermore, you have good knowledge of Swedish and English.

We consider it meritorious if you have:

• Experience from process industry
• Experience with welding, turning, and milling
• Electrical skills
• Certificate for Hot Work
• Training for motor-driven work platform

Location: Oskarshamn

Working hours: Full time, daytime 07.00–16.00

Employment type: Consultant for 6 months via OnePartnerGroup with very good opportunities for continued employment at OKAB.

Start date: Immediately or as agreed.
